Murder, Mischief, and Mystery Stalk The Barnstormers with And Then There Were None

Mystery and murder top the bill at The Barnstormers Theatre in Tamworth as Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None opens Tuesday July 12th and runs for five nights through Saturday the 16th with curtain time  at 8:00 o'clock nightly .   A matinee performance is slated for 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16th.

Heralded as one of Christie's best, And Then There Were None (formerly known as Ten Little Indians) tells the chilling story of ten strangers who are lured to a desolate island off the gusty coast of Southern England to visit with an unseen, unknown host.  As the night unravels, the mystery swells to pulsating tension as one by one, members of the party are murdered.  For years, audiences have been guessing the identity of the murderer from among the party-goers.

The play is directed by Frank Wells, a long-time artistic force for The Barnstormers.  Joining him is an ensemble cast including newcomers to the Barnstormers Jim Burkholder as Rogers, Ryan Dunn as Fred Narracott, and James Sears as William Blore.  Barnstormer favorites Jean Brown will star as Mrs. Rogers, Amanda Baker as Vera Claythrone, John Schnatterly as Philip Lombard, Jesse Beecher as Anthony Marston, and Vinette Cotter as Emily Brent.

Part of the fun of watching a mystery like this one is not just in trying to figure out who committed the crime, but it is also in reassessing after the fact whether or not the person responsible could logically have perpetrated the crime, said director Frank Wells.  Our job is to be so meticulous that even the most careful observer is satisfied that we had the right people in the right place at the right time. Sponsored by Sanders Management Group, And Then There Were None will tantalize an adult and teenage audience.
