BROADWAY COMEDY AT THE BARNSTORMERS

One of the classic comedies about life in New York comes to The Barnstormers Summer Theatre in Tamworth, NH. The Barnstormers present Bob Randall's 6 RMS RIV VU Tuesday, August 10th through Saturday, August 14th. 6 RMS RIV VU was a smash hit in 1972 and still keeps the chuckles coming.

A group of apartment hunters wrangle about the pros and cons of a vacant apartment. Two of them are a man and woman who have never met, but find themselves locked in the apartment. Apartment hunters from older kids on up will appreciate the humor in this play.

The Barnstormers production of 6 RMS RIV VU will feature Doug Shapiro, Amanda Baker, Robert Bates, Jr., Richard Poole, Kathryn Gately, Elaine Anderson, Pamela Rogers and John Schnatterly. The director is Karl Wallnau. 6 RMS RIV VU is sponsored by the Greenawalt family.

The Barnstormers is the oldest professional summer theatre in the United States. It was founded in Tamworth in 1931 and has made its home there ever since. The theatre is fully air-conditioned and there is plenty of parking in Tamworth Village. Tickets may be ordered by calling the box office in Tamworth at 603-323-8500. Orchestra seats are $25; $20 in the balcony. Curtain time is 8:00 PM.

Molley The Trolley in Wolfeboro is back! Wednesday night, take the trolley from Wolfeboro to the Woodshed Restaurant in Moultonboro where you can enjoy a fabulous dinner, then trolley over to the Barnstormers Theatre and see the play. After the play you can enjoy the trolley ride back to Wolfeboro. All this for only $55. What a treat and a wonderful evening out with friends and family.

Also, The Tamworth Recreation Department will be presenting a CHILDRENšS THEATRE WORKSHOP for kids 8 to 14 years of age. What a wonderful experience for your child to learn from the direction of a Barnstormer and New York Actress, Susan Riskin. If you feel your child has an interest and/or talent in theatre this is a great opportunity. Workshop  runs  for three days, August 9, 10, 11 from 10AM to 11:30AM.
